The Index Function Of The Driver's Side Power Window Does Not Operate
Trouble causes:
- Front regulator & motor assembly (driver's side) failure
- LIN communication error
- Body integrated unit malfunction
- Harness malfunction
- Poor contact of connector
- Power supply circuit malfunction
- Door switch circuit malfunction
- CHECK MALFUNCTIONS

- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Operate the power window main switch and check that the power window (driver's side) operates.
Do the manual operation, auto operation, and remote operation other than the index function normally function?
Yes: Go to 2.
No: Perform the diagnosis according to the basic diagnostic procedure. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, read the DTCs in [Power Window (Switch)], [Power Window (Driver)] and [Body Control]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) . Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

- Body Control
Are any DTCs displayed?
Yes: Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST . Ref. to BODY CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST .
No: Go to 3.

Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Power Window (Driver)]. Ref. to POWER WINDOW (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR .

Does the display of [Open]/[Close] switch according to the driver's door opening/closing operation?
CAUTION: When opening/closing the door, be careful not to allow the glass upper end to contact the retainer.Yes: Replace the front regulator & motor assembly (driver's side). Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>FRONT REGULATOR AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY .
No: Check the door switch (courtesy switch) and the circuit. Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>DOOR LOCK CONTROL SYSTEM>INSPECTION>CHECK DOOR SWITCH .
