Operation Procedure A

  1. Draw the reference line of the vehicle body center.
    CAUTION:
    • Positioning accuracy of the measure shall be ±2 mm (±0.08 in) or less.
    • Centering accuracy of the plumb bob shall be ±4 mm (±0.16 in) or less.

    1. Suspend the plumb bob with leveling line from front center position (front ornament center) of vehicle, and affix the packing tape at the location where the plumb bob touches the ground and make a marking on the tape at the point A.

    2. Suspend the plumb bob with leveling line from rear center position (rear ornament center) of vehicle, and affix the packing tape at the location where the plumb bob touches the ground and make a marking on the tape at the point B.

    3. Strain approximately 8 m (26.25 ft) leveling line from the marking point B through the marking point A, and fix it with packing tape.
      NOTE: Confirm that there is no wet condition or unevenness on the floor, to strain the leveling line correctly.
    4. Mark the position 1, 000 mm (3.28 ft) away from points A and B.

  2. Install ST.
    CAUTION:
    • Handle ST carefully so as not to break it.
    • If light reflects at ST, simple calibration on the center information display cannot be performed correctly. Therefore, be careful so that light does not reflect during operation.

    Preparation tool: 

    ST: TARGET CHART (86399XC000)

    1. Place ST under the vehicle body center line (leveling line).
    2. As shown in the figure, align ST reference line (for front/rear view cameras), ST guide line on the vehicle side, and the marks with the vehicle body center line (leveling line), and set ST on the camera to be adjusted.

  3. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, select [Simple calibration] for the targeted camera in [Work Support] of [Front & Side Camera/Multi View Monitor]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT>OPERATION .
  4. [Parameter Application & Decision] screen is displayed, and the image of the simple calibration appears on the center information display.
  5. On the [Parameter Application & Decision] screen, adjust so that the red line is aligned with the ST guide line, and press [OK].

  6. Perform visual check again. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>CAMERA>ADJUSTMENT>VISUAL CHECK .
    NOTE: If the procedure is not completed by adjusting the replaced camera, adjust the adjacent camera.
