Master Cylinder: Removal
CAUTION:
- Do not let clutch fluid come into contact with the painted surface of the vehicle.
Wash away with water immediately and wipe off if it is spilled by accident.
- Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION
NOTE:
The master cylinder cannot be disassembled.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
- Remove the clutch pedal. Ref. to BRAKE>BRAKE PEDAL>REMOVAL
- Remove the clip and clevis pin A, and then disconnect the clutch pedal and the master cylinder.
- Disconnect the clutch pipe C and clutch pipe D from the master cylinder.
- Remove the master cylinder.
- Separate the master cylinder and the push rod.
