Oil Pan Upper

Remove the engine assembly. Ref. to MECHANICAL (H4DOTC)>ENGINE ASSEMBLY>REMOVAL .
Remove the water pipe RH. Ref. to COOLING (H4DOTC)>WATER PIPE>REMOVAL>WATER PIPE RH .
Remove the water pipe LH. Ref. to COOLING (H4DOTC)>WATER PIPE>REMOVAL>WATER PIPE LH .
Remove the oil pan and oil strainer. Ref. to LUBRICATION (H4DOTC)>OIL PAN>REMOVAL>OIL PAN .
Remove the oil pan upper from the cylinder block.
NOTE:
Pry the points shown in the figure with a crowbar wrapped by protective tape, and then remove the oil pan upper.

Remove the O-ring from the cylinder block.

Remove the liquid gasket from oil pan upper and cylinder block.
