Scavenge Pump: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the scavenge pump.
    1. Set a new O-ring and a scavenge pump to the cylinder block, and tighten the bolt.
      CAUTION:

      After tightening, check that the scavenge pump is seated on the cylinder block securely. 

      Tightening torque: 

      5.9 N.m (0.6 kgf-m, 4.4 ft-lb)

    2. Tighten all the bolts again.

      Tightening torque: 

      6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf.m, 4.7 ft.lb)

  2. Install the oil jet.

    3. Tightening torque: 

    6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf.m, 4.7 ft.lb)

  3. Install the crank sprocket. Ref. to MECHANICAL (H4DOTC)>CRANK SPROCKET>INSTALLATION .
  4. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
