Vehicle Setting Function (Car Settings/Car Settings Shortcut Screen) Cannot Be Operated

Probable cause:

Communication error with the related systems

CAUTION:

Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description>CAUTION .

CHECK DTC .
1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Cockpit Control]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
3. Read the DTC of [Cockpit Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to Cockpit Control (Diagnostics)>Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) .
Is DTC of U*** displayed? (Current malfunction)

Yes: Perform the inspection according to the diagnosis for LAN system. Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .

No: Go to 2 .
CHECK COMBINATION METER .
Check whether variant information of the combination meter is correct.

Is the variant information correct?

Yes: Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

NOTE:
In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

No: Perform the variant work for the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER SYSTEM .
