Transmission Case Body
- Install the O-rings.
(A) No. 4 brake piston (B) O-ring (C) O-ring - Install the O-rings.
(A) Brake reaction sleeve (B) O-ring (C) O-ring - Set the No. 4 brake piston (B) to the brake reaction sleeve (A) and install it.CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the O-ring.NOTE: Apply ATF to the O-ring.
- Install the O-rings.
(A) O-ring (B) 1st & reverse brake piston - Install the 1st & reverse brake piston (A).CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the O-ring.NOTE: Apply ATF to the O-ring.
- Set the 1st & reverse brake return spring.
(A) 1st & reverse brake return spring (B) Transmission case - Compress the 1st & reverse brake return spring (A) using the ST to install the snap ring (B).
Preparation tool:
ST: COMPRESSOR PISTON SPR NO. 3 (09350-07050)
- Check the operation of the 1st & reverse brake piston.
- Blow compressed air through the hole shown in the figure, and check that 1st & reverse brake piston moves smoothly when the pressure is released.NOTE: Blow compressed air of 392 kPa (4.0 kgf/cm2 , 56.8 psi).
- Perform the following check if the piston does not move smoothly.
- Check the installation conditions of the 1st & reverse brake piston.
- Blow compressed air through the hole shown in the figure, and check that 1st & reverse brake piston moves smoothly when the pressure is released.
- Install the brake apply tube by aligning its protrusion with the transmission case groove as shown in the figure.CAUTION: Check that the inside of the transmission case can be seen through the output revolution sensor installation hole.NOTE: Engage the claw of the 1st & reverse brake piston with the protrusion of the brake apply tube.
