  3. Check the No. 4 brake pack clearance.
    1. Measure height "H" from the brake apply tube (A) upper face to the No. 4 brake flange (B) mounting surface.
      NOTE:
      • Measure at four points at 90° intervals and calculate the average.
      • If the value is outside the specification, check the 1st & reverse brake piston.

      Specification:

    2. 23.32 - 24.18 mm (0.918 - 0.952 in)

      (B) No. 4 brake disc
      (C) No. 4 brake plate
      (D) No. 4 rear brake flange

      C = H - T1 - 0.18 mm (0.007 in) + T2

      C Pack clearance mm (in)
      H Measured value (mm (in)) of (1)
      T1 Measured values (mm (in)) of the step 3. (4) or 3. (5)
      T2 No. 4 front brake flange standard value 1.8 mm (0.07 in)
      0.18 (0.007) Constant mm (in)
    4. If the value exceeds the specification, adjust the thickness of the No. 4 front brake flange so that the value is within the initial standard. Ref. to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION>REAR PLANETARY GEAR>REMOVAL .
