Brake Pedal: Installation

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, always refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>General Description>CAUTION .

Install the pedal assembly brake.
CAUTION:
- Apply grease to the snap pin to prevent the operating rod from wear.
- Replace the clevis pin with a new part, and apply a thin coat of grease to the clevis pin.
Preparation items:

Grease (clevis pin): Shell Gadus S2 V220 or equivalent

Tightening torque:

18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)
Install the duct. foot driver. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>Heater Duct>INSTALLATION>FOOT>FRONT .
Install the column assembly steering. Ref. to POWER ASSISTED SYSTEM (POWER STEERING)>Steering Column>INSTALLATION .
Install the universal joint. Ref. to POWER ASSISTED SYSTEM (POWER STEERING)>Universal Joint>INSTALLATION .
Install the knee airbag module. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>Knee Airbag Module>INSTALLATION .
Install the cover LWR driver.
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Check that the brake light operate properly.
Check the brake pedal after installation. Ref. to BRAKE>Brake Pedal>INSPECTION .
