Fuel Pump Circuit

CAUTION: After servicing or replacing faulty parts, perform Clear Memory Mode. Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (STI)>CLEAR MEMORY MODE>OPERATION and inspection mode. Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (STI)>INSPECTION MODE>PROCEDURE .

CHECK OPERATING SOUND OF FUEL PUMP.
Make sure that the fuel pump operates for two seconds when turning the ignition switch to ON.

NOTE: Fuel pump operation can be executed using the Subaru Select Monitor.
Refer to "Active Test" for the procedures. Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (STI)>ACTIVE TEST .

Does the fuel pump emit operating sound?

Yes: Check the fuel injector circuit. Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (STI)>DIAGNOSTICS FOR ENGINE STARTING FAILURE>FUEL INJECTOR CIRCUIT .

No: Display the DTC. Refer to ENGINE (DIAGNOSTICS) (STI)>READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>OPERATION .
