VDC Control Module and Hydraulic Control Unit (VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U): Installation

CAUTION:

When installing the VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U to the bracket - hydraulic unit, make sure that there is no oil adhered to the bolts and the threads of VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U. If the oil is adhered, degrease it carefully before tightening.
Connect the VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U connector securely.

Install the bracket - hydraulic unit and the VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U.
1. Install the VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U to the bracket - hydraulic unit.
  Tightening torque:
  
  7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
2. Attach the bracket - hydraulic unit.
  Tightening torque:
  
  33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 23.8 ft-lb)
3. Attach the bracket to the bracket - connector front. (Except for STI model)
  Tightening torque:
  
  7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
4. Connect the VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U connector.
5. Install each brake pipe using a flare nut wrench.
  Tightening torque:
  
  Refer to "COMPONENT" of "General Description". Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL(VDC)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>COMPONENT>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U) .
Install the engine control module (ECM). (Except for STI model) Refer to FUEL INJECTION (FUEL SYSTEMS) (W/O STI)>ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)>INSTALLATION .
Connect the battery ground terminal. Refer to NOTE>NOTE>BATTERY .
Bleed air from the brake system. Refer to BRAKE>AIR BLEEDING>PROCEDURE .
Perform parameter confirmation, selection, and registration.
NOTE:
- When the VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U is replaced with a new part, be sure to perform the selection registration operation.
- When the registration has not been performed, the DTC code "Parameter selection error" is detected together with the ABS/EBD/VDC warning light illumination.
1. Check that the applied model and grade of the relevant vehicle are included. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL(VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U)>MAINTENANCE MODE>VDC CONTROL MODULE PARAMETER CHECK .
2. If the applied model and grade of the target vehicle are not included, perform parameter selection and registration. Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL(VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U)>MAINTENANCE MODE>VDC CONTROL MODULE PARAMETER SELECTION .
Perform "VDC sensor midpoint setting mode". Refer to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL(VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDC CONTROL MODULE & H/U)>ADJUSTMENT>VDC SENSOR MIDPOINT SETTING MODE .
