Check The Vehicle Harness
CAUTION:
- Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- If the steering wheel has been removed, make sure that the steering roll connector is not turned from the original position.
- If the steering wheel and steering angle sensor are removed, perform "VSC(VDC) Centering Mode" of the VDC. Ref. to VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC)>VDC CONTROL MODULE AND HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (VDC Control Module and H/U)>ADJUSTMENT>VDC SENSOR MIDPOINT SETTING MODE .
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the steering roll connector. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>ROLL CONNECTOR>REMOVAL .
- Measure the resistance between steering roll connector - 12 V battery+ terminal side harness.
Terminal No. Standard C9 - 12 V battery+ terminal side harness Less than 1 Ω - Repair the open circuit of vehicle harness if it is found defective.
