Master Cylinder: Installation

  1. Replace the cylinder seal assembly of the master cylinder assembly with a new part.
  2. Install the master cylinder assembly.

    Tightening torque: 

    25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)

  3. Install the pipe assembly front ABS.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to make scratches or other damage to the inside surface of the brake pipe flare.
    1. Turn and tighten the flare nut (b) by hand while pushing the pipe assembly front ABS (a) toward the master cylinder assembly.
    2. Tighten the flare nut (b) using a flare nut wrench.

    Tightening torque: 

    19 N.m (1.9 kgf-m, 14.0 ft-lb)

  4. Bleed air from the brake system. Ref. to BRAKE>AIR BLEEDING>PROCEDURE .
  5. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
