Door Outer Handle: Installation: Front

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .

Before installation, check the following items.
- Rod is free from deformation.
- Grease is applied sufficiently to rod joints.
Using TORX® T30, tighten the bolt of the frame assembly front door outer.
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
Install the spacer door handle outer A and B.
Install the handle front door outer.
1. Insert the handle door outer to the frame assembly front door outer.
2. Lock the holder of the frame assembly front door outer.
3. Install the connector. (Model with keyless access with push button start)
Using TORX® T30, install the cover handle front outer.
NOTE: When installing the outer handle cover on the driver's side, make sure that the key cylinder shaft is correctly inserted into the latch and actuator assembly front.

Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
Install the rod to the frame assembly front door outer.
Install the plate door.
Install the sealing cover front door. Ref. to EXTERIOR BODY PANELS>SEALING COVER>INSTALLATION .
Install the trim panel front door. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>DOOR TRIM>INSTALLATION .
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
