Satellite Switch Assembly

  1. Measure the resistance between connector terminals.

    6 - 2 SEEK (>)
    SEEK (<)
    VOL (+)
    VOL(-)
    A circuit is all OFF. Approx. 100 kΩ
    SEEK (>) ON Less than 1 Ω
    SEEK (<) ON Approx. 330 Ω
    VOL (+) ON Approx. 1, 000 Ω
    VOL(-) ON Approx. 3, 110 Ω
    12 - 2 SOURCE OFF HOOK ON HOOK VOICE B circuit is all OFF. Approx. 100 kΩ
    SOURCE ON Less than 1 Ω
    OFF HOOK ON Approx. 330 Ω
    ON HOOK ON Approx. 1, 000 Ω
    VOICE ON Approx. 3, 110 Ω
  2. Apply battery voltage between the connector terminals to check lighting condition of illumination inside the switch.
    CAUTION: When applying battery voltage, do not mix up the positive (+) side and the negative (-) side.
    Incorrect polarity connection may cause LED damage inside the switch.

  3. If it is found to be defective as a result of the measurement, replace the satellite switch assembly.
