DTC B1509: Cockpit Control Signal Input

DTC detecting condition: 

LVDS communication with the cockpit control module is impossible.

Trouble symptom: 

Meter LCD cannot be displayed.

CAUTION: Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>General Description>CAUTION .
  1. CHECK DTC  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Cockpit Control]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAG)>CLEAR MEMORY .
    3. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
    4. Read the DTC of [Cockpit Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .

    Is DTC B1509 displayed? (Current malfunction)

    Yes:  Go to  2 .

    No:  Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

    NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
  2. CHECK CONNECTOR  .

    Check the harness between the cockpit control module connector and the combination meter.

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes:  Go to  3 .

    No:  Repair the harness or replace the components.

  3. CHECK COCKPIT CONTROL MODULE  .

    Perform the inspection according to the diagnosis for the cockpit control module. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes:  Replace the combination meter. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER .

    No:  Replace the cockpit control module. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY .
