Door Outer Handle: Installation: Front

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM" . Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>General Description>CAUTION .

Before installation, check the following items.
- Rod is free from deformation.
- Grease is applied sufficiently to rod joints.
If grease is insufficient, add it as necessary before assembling the rod.
Install the frame assembly front door handle outer.
Preparation tool:

TORX^® T30

Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf.m, 5.5 ft.lb)

CAUTION: Make sure the rod clamp is securely fixed .
Install the spacer door handle outer A and B.
Install the handle front door outer.
Install the cover handle front outer.
CAUTION:
- When installing the cover handle front outer on driver's side, make sure that the key cylinder shaft is correctly inserted into the latch & actuator assembly front .
- After installation, perform the operation check using the key .
Preparation tool:

TORX^® T30

Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf.m, 5.5 ft.lb)
Install the plug at the rear end of the panel assembly front door.
Install the plate door UPR.
Install the sealing cover front door.
Install the trim panel front door.
Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor, Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
