Sunroof Assembly: Removal

CAUTION:

Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM" . Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>General Description>CAUTION .
When removing the clip, use great care not to damage the trim panel sub assembly .

Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
NOTE: Completely close the lid assembly front, then disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor.
Remove the stereo camera cover assembly. Ref. to EyeSight>Stereo Camera>REMOVAL .
Remove the trim panel sub assembly. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Roof Trim>REMOVAL .
Remove the tube drain.
NOTE: When removing the tube drain completely, perform the step 8.

Remove the bolt securing the curtain airbag module.

Remove the lid assembly front and the lid assembly rear. Ref. to SUNROOF/T-TOP/CONVERTIBLE TOP (SUNROOF)>Glass Lid>REMOVAL .
Remove the sunroof assembly.

Remove the tube drain.
NOTE: For easy replacement work, attach a string when pulling the tube drain.
- Front side
1. Remove the cover LWR driver. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Instrument Panel Lower Cover>REMOVAL .
2. Remove the glove box. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Glove Box>REMOVAL .
3. Turn over the toe board insulator while avoiding to touch the harness around the tube drain.
4. Remove the clips, and turn over the rear side of the mud guard front.
  NOTE: Remove the front wheels as necessary.
5. Remove the tube drain.
- Rear side
1. Remove the bumper face rear.
2. Remove the tube drain.
