Inspection Of Switch Unit: Notes

MANUAL WIPER 

1. Operate the switches to check the continuity between terminals.

   Preparation tool: 

   Circuit tester

   • Front

     Switch position	Terminal No.	Standard
     OFF	B3 - B1	Less than 1 Ω
     	B2 - B1	1 MΩ or more
     MIST	B2 - B3	Less than 1 Ω
     LO	B2 - B3	Less than 1 Ω
     HI	B2 - B4	Less than 1 Ω
     Washer ON	A3 - A2	Less than 1 Ω

   • Rear

     Switch position	Terminal No.	Standard
     Washer ON (wiper interlock operation)	A7 - A2 B5 - A2	Less than 1 Ω
     OFF	A7 - A2 A6 - A2 B5 - A2	1 MΩ or more
     LO	A6 - A2	Less than 1 Ω
     HI	A7 - A2	Less than 1 Ω
     Washer ON	B5 - A2	Less than 1 Ω

2. Replace the switch if the inspection result is not within the standard value.
3. Install the switch assembly combination wiper select. Ref. to WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEMS>Combination Switch (Wiper)>INSTALLATION
