Upper Arm: Removal

NOTE: The procedure shows the OUTBACK model. For the sedan model, perform the procedure by referring to the OUTBACK model.
  1. Release the parking brake.
  2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the brake maintenance mode. Refer to PARKING BRAKE>Parking Brake System>OPERATION>BRAKE MAINTENANCE MODE .
  3. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  4. Lift up the vehicle, and then remove the rear wheels.
  5. Remove the rear suspension assembly. Refer to REAR SUSPENSION>Sub Frame>REMOVAL .
  6. Remove the arm assembly rear upper.
