Knee Airbag Module: Removal
CAUTION:
- Before handling the airbag system components, refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>General Description>CAUTION .
- Do not allow harness and connectors to interfere or get tangled up with other parts.
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the cover LWR driver. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>Instrument Panel Lower Cover>REMOVAL .
- Remove the knee airbag module.
- Disconnect the connector of knee airbag module. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>Airbag Connector>PROCEDURE>KNEE AIRBAG MODULE (DRIVER'S SEAT ONLY), ADAPTIVE FORCE LIMITER & LAP SEAT BELT PRETENSIONER (PASSENGER'S SEAT ONLY) .
- Remove the data link connector.
- Remove the nuts, and remove the knee airbag module.
