Rear Gate Opener Button: Removal

NOTE: The switch opener rear gate of the model with keyless access with push button start is integrated with the rear lock button. For operation procedures, refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>REAR LOCK BUTTON>REMOVAL .

Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
Remove the garnish assembly rear gate. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR GATE GARNISH>REMOVAL .
Remove the garnish assembly rear gate LWR. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR GATE GARNISH>DISASSEMBLY .
Remove the switch opener rear gate.
CAUTION: When using a flat tip screwdriver, apply protective tape or cloth and be careful not to cause damage.
1. Remove the switch opener rear gate by pressing the lock portions on both sides.
