Body Integrated Unit: Installation

CAUTION:

When the control module related to immobilizer has been replaced, be sure to perform the registration of immobilizer system. For detailed operation procedure, refer to "Type B" described in "REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR IMMOBILIZER".
Before handling the airbag system components, refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .

When replacing the body integrated unit with a new part, install the relay (a) and the fuse (b) to the relay holder. (Impreza model)

Install the body integrated unit (fuse & relay box).
Tightening torque:

7.5 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)
Install the knee airbag module. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>KNEE AIRBAG MODULE>INSTALLATION .
Install the cover assembly - instrument panel LWR driver. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>INSTALLATION .
Connect the ground terminal to 12V engine restart battery sensor. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
NOTE: For the hybrid model, connect the battery negative terminal.
