Inspection steps
- Checking connection of each part
- Lightly jiggle the power steering computer ASSY connector and wiring harness in the up/down/left/right directions, and check the state of the P/S warning light.
Criteria: No variation in the P/S warning light illumination state.
NOTE: If operating properly, the P/S warning light comes on when the ignition is turned to IG ON and goes out after the engine has started.OK: Go to next step
NG: Repair or replacement of wiring harness or connector
- Lightly jiggle the power steering computer ASSY connector and wiring harness in the up/down/left/right directions, and check the state of the P/S warning light.
- Diagnosis codes check (CAN communication system)
- Use the SSM4 to check the CAN communication system. (Refer to
HOW TO TROUBLESHOOT
)
Criteria: No error code.
OK: Go to next step
NG: Go to "CAN communication system (How to troubleshoot)"

- Use the SSM4 to check the CAN communication system. (Refer to

- Reading SSM4 data (PIG power supply)
- Use the SSM4 to check the [PIG Power Supply]. (Refer to
DATA MONITOR )

Replacement of the power steering computer ASSY (Refer to POWER STEERING COMPUTER )
- Use the SSM4 to check the [Ignition Power Supply Voltage]. (Refer to
DATA MONITOR )
- Inspection of the wiring harness and connector (PIG power supply and ground)
- Disconnect the power steering computer ASSY connector A14.
- Measure the voltage and resistance of the connectors on the vehicle harness side.VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION
