Inspection steps
CAUTION:
- Always perform a steering zero point calibration after replacing the power steering computer ASSY.
- Before performing troubleshooting, check that a genuine combination meter is installed.
- Assist Map Confirmation
- Use the SSM4 to perform [Assist Map Confirmation]. (Refer to
WORK SUPPORT )RESULT DESCRIPTION
Result Go to The same assist map as the vehicle model is not written. A The same assist map as the vehicle model is written. B - Go to next step
- Functioning properly (Clear the memory.)
- Use the SSM4 to perform [Assist Map Confirmation]. (Refer to
WORK SUPPORT )
- Reconfirmation of assist map
- Use the SSM4 to confirm that the written-in assist map is consistent with the vehicle information (genuine combination meter).
OK: Go to next step
NG: Perform [Assist Map Clear] (Refer to WORK SUPPORT ).
- Use the SSM4 to confirm that the written-in assist map is consistent with the vehicle information (genuine combination meter).
- Diagnosis code check
- Check if C1583 or C1534 is not output.
Criteria: Neither C1583 nor C1534 is output.
OK: Go to next step
NG: Progress to the "output code flow chart". (Refer to LIST OF DIAGNOSTIC CODES )
Replacement of the power steering computer ASSY (Refer to POWER STEERING COMPUTER )
