Engine Cooling System: Radiator: Removal
CAUTION:
- The engine coolant is pressurized when it is hot. Wait until engine coolant cools down before proceeding the work.
- If the engine coolant is spilt over the engine, exhaust pipe or the under cover, completely wipe it off to avoid emission of smoke or causing a fire.
- Disconnect the ground cable from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the V-belt covers.
- Drain engine coolant, Ref. to COOLING (H4DOTC)>ENGINE COOLANT>REPLACEMENT .
- Remove the center exhaust pipe (front), Ref. to EXHAUST (H4DOTC)>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE>REMOVAL>CENTER EXHAUST PIPE (FRONT) .
- Remove the radiator fan and fan motor assembly, Ref. to COOLING (H4DOTC)>RADIATOR FAN AND FAN MOTOR ASSEMBLY>REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the radiator inlet hose and radiator outlet hose.
- Remove the bracket grille front.
- Remove the radiator upper bracket.
- Disconnect the condenser assembly air conditioner and the radiator.
- Remove the pipe evaporator cooling from the clip.
- Disengage the claws, and separate the radiator and the condenser assembly air conditioner.CAUTION:
- Be careful not to damage the condenser assembly air conditioner and the radiator fin.
- If a damaged fin is found, repair it using a thin screwdriver.
- Remove the radiator, and secure the condenser assembly air conditioner to the vehicle using ropes etc.NOTE: This procedure is required to prevent the condenser assembly air conditioner from dropping off, and also the pipe evaporator cooling from being damaged.
- Remove the radiator upper bracket and radiator lower bracket.NOTE: Remove if necessary.
