Rear Gate Glass: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY>GROUND TERMINAL REMOVAL OR INSTALLATION .
  2. Remove the trim panel rear gate. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR GATE TRIM>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the motor assembly rear wiper. Ref. to WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEMS>REAR WIPER MOTOR>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the roof spoiler. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>ROOF SPOILER>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the smart rearview camera. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>CAMERA>REMOVAL>REAR>SMART REARVIEW CAMERA ASSEMBLY .
  6. Disconnect the radio antenna connector.
  7. Disconnect the rear defogger connector.
  8. Remove the glass - rear gate in the same procedure as for the glass windshield. Ref. to GLASS/WINDOWS/MIRRORS>WINDSHIELD GLASS>REMOVAL .
