Cam Sprocket: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE: When replacing a single part, perform the work with the engine assembly installed to body.
  1. Remove the crank pulley. Refer to MECHANICAL (STI)>CRANK PULLEY>REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the timing belt cover. Refer to MECHANICAL (STI)>TIMING BELT COVER>REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the timing belt. Refer to MECHANICAL (STI)>TIMING BELT>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the actuator covers of the intake and exhaust cam sprockets.
  5. Use the ST to lock the cam sprocket, and remove the cam sprocket bolt.

  6. Remove the cam sprocket.
