DTC B2781: Steering Lock Control Module Control Circuit
DTC detecting condition:
When any of the following is established.
- When the sensor for steering lock position (in steering lock control module) is faulty.
- When the steering lock motor driver (in steering lock control module) is short-circuited.
- When the steering lock motor driver (in steering lock control module) is open-circuited.
Trouble symptom:
- The steering lock cannot be released.
- Engine will not start.
CAUTION:
- For replacement procedure of steering lock control module, refer to the "REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume.
- Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
NOTE:
When all ECMs connected to collation system LIN bus cannot communicate with the keyless access control module, DTC B2785 is output. Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>DTC B2785 LIN COMMUNICATION .
- CHECK DTC.
Read DTCs of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start» using the Subaru Select Monitor. Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .
Is DTC B2785 displayed? (Current malfunction)
Yes: Perform the diagnosis of DTC B2785. Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>DTC B2785 LIN COMMUNICATION .
No: Replace the steering lock control module. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>STEERING LOCK control module .
