Interior Collation Does Not Function
Trouble causes:
- Access key battery failure
- Keyless access control module power supply circuit failure
- Failure of harness between the keyless access control module and each interior antenna
- Interior antenna failure
- For replacement procedure of keyless access control module, refer to the "REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR IMMOBILIZER" provided as a separate volume.
- Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
- CHECK ACCESS KEY.
Check the battery of the access key. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>ACCESS KEY>INSPECTION .
Is the check result OK?
Yes: Go to 2.
No: Replace the battery.
- CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT.
- Disconnect the keyless access control module connector.
- Using a tester, measure the voltage between the keyless access control module connector and chassis ground.

Is the voltage 9.5 - 16 V?
Yes: Go to 3.
No: Check the power supply circuit.
- CHECK INTERIOR ANTENNA (FRONT).
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items on «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check» of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start». Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK .
- «Front interior transmitter + interior tuner»
- Using a tester, check the output between keyless access control module connector terminals while performing «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check».

(B574) No. 25 - (B574) No. 12:
Is a pulse output?
Yes: Go to 4.
No: Replace the keyless access control module. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>KEYLESS ACCESS control module .
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items on «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check» of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start». Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK .
- CHECK INTERIOR ANTENNA (CENTER).
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items on «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check» of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start». Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK .
- «Rear interior transmitter + interior tuner»
- Using a tester, check the output between keyless access control module connector terminals while performing «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check».

Is a pulse output?
Yes: Go to 5.
No: Replace the keyless access control module. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>KEYLESS ACCESS control module .

- CHECK INTERIOR ANTENNA (REAR).
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items on «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check» of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start». Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK .
- «Trunk internal transmitter + interior tuner»
- Using a tester, check the output between keyless access control module connector terminals while performing «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check».

Is a pulse output?
Yes: Go to 6.
No: Replace the keyless access control module. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>KEYLESS ACCESS control module .
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items on «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check» of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start». Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK .
- CHECK HARNESS (OPEN CIRCUIT).
- Disconnect the front interior antenna connector and the keyless access control module connector.
- Using a tester, check continuity between the front interior antenna connector and the keyless access control module connector.

Is there continuity?
Yes: Go to 7.
No: Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.
- CHECK HARNESS (OPEN CIRCUIT).
- Disconnect the center interior antenna connector and the keyless access control module connector.
- Using a tester, check continuity between the center interior antenna connector and the keyless access control module connector.

Is there continuity?
Yes: Go to 8.
No: Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.
- CHECK HARNESS (OPEN CIRCUIT).
- Disconnect the rear interior antenna connector and the keyless access control module connector.
- Using a tester, check continuity between the rear interior antenna connector and the keyless access control module connector.

Is there continuity?
Yes: Go to 9.
No: Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.
- CHECK ANTENNA.
Replace the front interior antenna with a new or properly functioning part. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>KEYLESS ACCESS INDOOR ANTENNA .
Does it operate properly?
Yes: Front interior antenna has a failure.
No: Go to 10.
- CHECK ANTENNA.
Replace the center interior antenna with a new or properly functioning part. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>KEYLESS ACCESS INDOOR ANTENNA .
Does it operate properly?
Yes: Center interior antenna has a failure.
No: Go to 11.
- CHECK ANTENNA.
Replace the rear interior antenna with a new or properly functioning part. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>KEYLESS ACCESS INDOOR ANTENNA .
Does it operate properly?
Yes: Rear interior antenna has a failure.
No: Go to 12.
- CHECK KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK.
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items on «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check» of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start». Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK .
- «Front interior transmitter + interior tuner»
- Hold the access key 1 m or more away from the audio panel, then come closer to within 0.8 m, while performing «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check».
Does the buzzer sound?
Yes: Go to 13.
No: Replace the keyless access control module. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>KEYLESS ACCESS control module .
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items on «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check» of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start». Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK .
- CHECK KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK.
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items on «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check» of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start». Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK .
- «Rear interior transmitter + interior tuner»
- Hold the access key 1 m or more away from the center of the second row seats, then come closer to within 0.8 m, while performing «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check».
Does the buzzer sound?
Yes: Go to 14.
No: Replace the keyless access control module. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>KEYLESS ACCESS control module .
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items on «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check» of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start». Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK .
- CHECK KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK.
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items on «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check» of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start». Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK .
- «Trunk internal transmitter + interior tuner»
- Hold the access key 1 m or more away from the back of the rear seat, then come closer to within 0.8 m.
- Hold the access key 1 m or more away from the back of the rear seat, then come closer to within 0.8 m, while performing «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check».
Does the buzzer sound?
Yes: The circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.No: Replace the keyless access control module. Refer to SECURITY AND LOCKS>KEYLESS ACCESS control module .
- Using Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items on «Keyless Access with Push Button Start Check» of «Keyless Access with Push Button Start». Refer to KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>KEYLESS ACCESS WITH PUSH BUTTON START CHECK .
