Section 2 (Engine Cooling System (3.6L)): Thermostat: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install a gasket to thermostat.
    NOTE: Use a new gasket.
  2. Install the thermostat and thermostat cover.
    NOTE: Install the parts with the jiggle pin facing the upside.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

  3. Attach the radiator outlet hose to the thermostat cover.
  4. Install the undercover. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT UNDER COVER>INSTALLATION .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Fill engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (H6DO)>Engine Coolant>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
