Multi-Function Display Switch

  1. Measure the resistance between connector terminals.

    Preparation tool: 

    Circuit tester

    • Model without steering heater

    Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard
    (ST3) No. 7 - (ST11) No. 1: INFO OFF 3 MΩ or more
    ON Less than 1 Ω
    • Model with steering heater

    Terminal No. Inspection conditions Standard
    (ST3) No. 7 - (ST9) No. 2: INFO OFF 3 MΩ or more
    ON Less than 1 Ω
  2. Apply battery voltage between the connector terminals to check lighting condition of illumination inside the switch.
    CAUTION: When applying battery voltage, make sure that each polarity (positive (+) and negative (-)) is properly connected.
    Incorrect polarity connection may cause LED damage inside the switch.
    Terminal No. Inspection conditions Specification
    10 (+) - 11 (-) Apply battery voltage. Light ON
  3. If it is found to be defective as a result of the inspection, replace the satellite switch.
