VDC Sensor Midpoint Setting Mode
After installing, replacing or adjusting the following parts, perform the VDC sensor midpoint setting mode.
- Sensor assembly VDC steering
- Steering wheel
- Suspension parts
- Wheel alignment
- Hydraulic unit assembly VDC
- Bracket COMPL hydraulic unit VDC
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, and set the steering wheel to the neutral position.
- Perform the VDC sensor 0 point setting mode.
- Connect the Subaru Select Monitor.NOTE: For detailed operation procedures, refer to "Help" of application.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- On [Start] screen, select [Diagnosis].
- On [Select Vehicle] screen, input the target vehicle information and select [Set].
- On [Main Menu] screen, select [Each System].
- On [Select System] screen, select [Brake Control], and then select [Enter].
- On [Select Function] screen, select [Data monitor].
- From the data monitor item list, select [Steering Angle Sensor], [Longitudinal G Sensor] and [Abnormal Lateral G Sensor output].
- Check that the steering angle sensor output value is between -2 and 2 deg.NOTE: If the output value is different from the standard value, check the steering wheel.
- Check that output values for the longitudinal G sensor and lateral G sensor are -2 - 2 m/s2
.NOTE: If the output value is different from the standard value, check the installing condition of the hydraulic unit assembly VDC and the bracket COMPL hydraulic unit VDC.
- On [Select Function] screen, select [Work Support].
- From the work support item list, select [VSC (VDC) Centering Mode], and perform the setting according to the procedure displayed on the Subaru Select Monitor screen.
- Connect the Subaru Select Monitor.
- Drive the vehicle for 10 minutes, and check that there is no system malfunction or the warning light illumination while driving.
- Make sure that the DTC is not stored.
