Secondary Speed Sensor: Installation

CAUTION:
  • Be sure to prevent water or oil from contacting the connector terminal of secondary speed sensor. If adhesion occurs, replace with a new part.
  • After installing the secondary speed sensor, adjust the CVTF level.
  1. Install the secondary speed sensor and spacer (Impreza model).
    NOTE:
    • Use new O-rings.
    • Apply CVTF to the O-rings.

    Tightening torque: 

    7 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 5.2 ft-lb)

  2. Connect the harness connector.
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Connect the battery ground terminal. Refer to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  5. Refill CVTF to adjust the CVTF level. Refer to CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION (TR580)>CVTF .
