Engine Oil Cooler: Removal

CAUTION: If the engine oil is spilled over exhaust pipe or the under cover, wipe it off with cloth to avoid emission of smoke or causing a fire.
  1. Remove the collector cover. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>Collector Cover>REMOVAL .
  2. Drain engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING (EXCEPT FOR STI)>Engine Coolant>REPLACEMENT>DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Remove the engine oil filter. Ref. to LUBRICATION (EXCEPT FOR STI)>Engine Oil Filter>REMOVAL .
  5. Disconnect the front engine oil cooler hose A (A) and the side engine oil cooler hose A (B) from the engine oil cooler.

  6. Remove the oil cooler connector and remove the engine oil cooler.
