Rear Stabilizer: Installation

CAUTION:
  • For parts which are not reusable, always use new parts.
  • Always tighten the bushing in the state where the vehicle is at curb weight and the wheels are in full contact with the ground.
  • Install the clamp - stabilizer bushing with the "G" character facing upward.

  1. Before installation, inspect the following items and replace any faulty part with a new one.
    • Check the bushing for abnormal cracks, fatigue or damage.
    • Check the stabilizer link for damage.
  2. Install the rear stabilizer.
    1. Install the stabilizer link.

      Tightening torque:

      Stabilizer link: 33 N.m (3.4 kgf-m, 24.3 ft-lb)

    2. Install the clamp - stabilizer bushing.

      Tightening torque:

      Clamp - stabilizer bushing: 38 N.m (3.9 kgf-m, 28 ft-lb)

    3. Install the rear wheels and lower the vehicle.

      Tightening torque:

      120 N.m (12.2 kgf-m, 88.5 ft-lb)
