Water Pump: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Install the water pump to the oil pan upper, and tighten the bolts in the numerical order as shown in the figure.
    NOTE: Use a new gasket.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)

  2. Install the timing chain assembly. Ref. to MECHANICAL(H6DO)>Timing Chain Assembly>INSTALLATION .
  3. Install the chain cover. Ref. to MECHANICAL(H6DO)>Chain Cover>INSTALLATION .
  4. Connect the ground terminal to battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  5. Fill engine oil. Ref. to LUBRICATION(H6DO)>Engine Oil>REPLACEMENT .
  6. Fill engine coolant. Ref. to COOLING(H6DO)>Engine Coolant>REPLACEMENT>FILLING OF ENGINE COOLANT .
  7. Install the collector cover.
