Radar Sensor: Inspection
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Subaru WRX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
Measure the installation angle of radar sensor without passengers.
- Before performing the inspection, check the following items.
- The workplace is flat and level.
- The inflation pressure of tires is correct.
- The vehicle does not have load. (Except for the standard equipment tools and spare tire)
- Place the digital angle gauge on a level surface, and perform rezero adjustment.NOTE:
Refer to the operation manual accompanied with the digital angle gauge.
- Measure the installation angle of the radar sensor.
- As shown in the figure, place the digital angle gauge (a) on the front surface of the radar sensor, and check that the vertical angle is within the normal range.
Specification:
90°±4°
- As shown in the figure, place the digital angle gauge (a) on any of four locations (top/bottom surface (b) or left/right surface (c)) of the radar sensor, and check that the horizontal angle is within the normal range.
Specification:
Top/bottom surface: 0°±4°
Left/right surface: 90°±4°
- As shown in the figure, place the digital angle gauge (a) on the front surface of the radar sensor, and check that the vertical angle is within the normal range.
- If the inspection result is out of normal range, it is assumed that the radar bracket or its installation location, etc. on the vehicle may be deformed. Check the installation condition of the radar bracket or the installation location.
