The Mode Of The Si-Drive/Drive Mode Select Cannot Be Switched

Probable cause:

Communication error with the related systems, external device malfunction/influence, or unit malfunction.

CAUTION:

Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION

CHECK RESTARTING DISPLAY .
Turn the ignition switch OFF → leave it for three minutes or more after the display turns off, then turn it to ACC. (The door should be closed at this time.)

Is the screen properly displayed?

Yes : Currently no failure is found.

No : Go to 2.
CHECK DTC .
1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Cockpit Control]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY
2. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
3. Read the DTC of [Cockpit Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)
Are any DTCs displayed? (Current code)

Yes : Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC)>LIST

No : Go to 3.
CHECK EyeSight STEERING SWITCH INPUT .
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF → ON.
2. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Combination Meter]. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>DATA MONITOR
  - Si-DRIVE switch input state
Is the check result OK?

Yes : Go to 6.

No : Go to 4.
CHECK THE HARNESS BETWEEN EyeSight STEERING SWITCH AND COMBINATION METER .
1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
2. Check for poor contact of connectors or terminals.
Is the check result OK?

Yes : Go to 5.

No : Repair or replace the harness.
CHECK EyeSight STEERING SWITCH .
Perform unit inspection of EyeSight steering switch. Ref. to EYESIGHT>STEERING SWITCH>INSPECTION

Is the check result OK?

Yes : Go to 6.

No : Replace the EyeSight steering switch. Ref. to EYESIGHT>STEERING SWITCH
CHECK COMBINATION METER .
Perform the basic diagnostic for combination meter and check if any problem occurs. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE

Does a problem occur?

Yes : Replace the cockpit control module. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY

No : Currently no failure is found.
