Is DTC B225A displayed? (Current code)

    Yes  : Go to  2.

No  : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

    NOTE:

In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

  2. CHECK CONNECTOR  .
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Check each connector connected to the center information display.

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  3.

No  : Repair the harness or replace the components.

  3. CHECK THE HARNESS BETWEEN THE COCKPIT CONTROL MODULE AND THE CENTER INFORMATION DISPLAY (OPEN)  .
    1. Disconnect the cockpit control module connector (Ad9).
    2. Disconnect the center information display connector (Ad11).
    3. Using a tester, measure the resistance of the harness between the cockpit control module connector (Ad9) and the center information display connector (Ad11).

      Connector & terminal

      (Ad9) No. 4 - (Ad11) No. 3:

      (Ad9) No. 5 - (Ad11) No. 7:

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

    Yes  : Go to  4.

No  : Repair the open circuit in harness between the cockpit control module connector and the center information display connector.

  4. CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN COCKPIT CONTROL MODULE AND BODY INTEGRATED UNIT (OPEN)  .
    1. Disconnect the cockpit control module connector (i102).
    2. Disconnect the body integrated unit connector (B71).
    3. Using the tester, measure the resistance of harness between cockpit control module connector (i102) and body integrated unit connector (B71).

      Connector & terminal

      (i102) No. 10 - (B71) No. 11:

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

    Yes  : Go to  5.

No  : Repair the open circuit in harness between cockpit control module connector and body integrated unit connector.

  5. CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN THE COCKPIT CONTROL MODULE AND THE COMBINATION METER (OPEN)  .
    1. Disconnect the cockpit control module connector (i103).
    2. Disconnect the combination meter connector (i97).
    3. Using the tester, measure the resistance of harness between the cockpit control module connector (i103) and the combination meter connector (i97).

      Connector & terminal

      (i103) No. 5 - (i97) No. 34:

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

Yes  : Replace the center information display. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY

No  : Repair the open circuit in the harness between the cockpit control module connector and the combination meter connector.
