DTC B2241: Can Communication

DTC detecting condition: 

Detected when communication loss occurred between the part that received CAN (VCPU) and the part that uses the information (MainSoc).

Trouble symptom: 

Vehicle linkage cannot function. (Air conditioner operation, vehicle information, vehicle setting customizing, etc.)

CAUTION:

Before performing diagnosis, refer to "CAUTION" in "General Description". Ref. to  COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION  

  1. CHECK DTC  .

    Inspect LAN system. Ref. to LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE

    Is the check result OK?

    Yes  : Go to  2.

    No  : Perform the inspection according to the diagnosis for LAN system.

  2. CHECK COCKPIT CONTROL MODULE  .
    1. Using the Subaru Select Monitor, perform the clear memory of [Cockpit Control]. Ref. to COMMON (DIAGNOSTICS)>CLEAR MEMORY
    2. Turn the ignition switch to OFF, and Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
    3. Install the ground terminal to the battery sensor and turn the ignition switch to ON.
    4. Read the DTC of [Cockpit Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor. Ref. to COCKPIT CONTROL (DIAGNOSTICS)>DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) 

    Is DTC B2241 displayed? (Current code)

    Yes  : Replace the cockpit control module. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>COCKPIT DISPLAY

    No  : Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.

    NOTE:

    In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
