DTC B1577: IMM Control Module EEPROM

DIAGNOSIS START CONDITION: 

DTC DETECTING CONDITION: 

TROUBLE SYMPTOM: 

CAUTION: When the body integrated unit (except for C0 and C5 models) or the immobilizer control module (C0 and C5 models) is replaced, registration of the immobilizer system is required. For details, (Contact an authorized Subaru Dealership).
Step Check Yes No
1 PERFORM ECM REGISTRATION. 
Perform ECM registration. (Contact an authorized Subaru Dealership)
Is registration complete? Finish the diagnosis. Go to step .
2 PERFORM ECM REGISTRATION. 
  1. Perform the Clear Memory Mode. (ECM and immobilizer control module) Ref. to CLEAR MEMORY MODE .
  2. Perform ECM registration. (Contact an authorized Subaru Dealership).
Is registration complete? Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis.
NOTE: In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
Proceed to "Correspondence table when registration is not possible" (Contact an authorized Subaru Dealership). If the registration still does not work properly, replace the following parts. Body integrated unit (except for C0 and C5 models) Ref. to BODY INTEGRATED UNIT . Immobilizer control module (C0 and C5 models) Ref. to IMMOBILIZER CONTROL MODULE .
