DTC U0230 Lost Communication With Power Rear Gate Control Module
DTC DETECTING CONDITION:
No data is received from the power rear gate Control Module.
TROUBLE SYMPTOM:
The power rear gate does not operate normally.

NOTE:
For the coupling connector, refer to "WIRING SYSTEM".

| 1 CHECK DTC. Read the DTC of body integrated unit using Subaru Select Monitor. <Ref. to READ DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) .> |
Is DTC U0230 displayed? (Current malfunction) | Go to step 2. | Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE:
In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

2 CHECK DTC.
|
Is DTC U0230 displayed? (Current malfunction) | Go to step 3. | Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
NOTE:
In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.

3 CHECK HARNESS.

Is the voltage 9 V or more? | Go to step 4. | Repair the open circuit of harness. |
4 CHECK HARNESS.

Is the resistance less than 10 Ω? | Go to step 5. | Repair the open circuit of harness. |
5 CHECK DTC.

Are DTCs U0230, U0231, U0208, U0169 displayed? (Current malfunction) | Replace the body integrated unit. <Ref. to BODY INTEGRATED UNIT .> | Replace the power rear gate Control Module. <Ref. to POWER REAR GATE CONTROL MODULE .> |
