Intake Manifold Assembly (Fa20): Removal
- Check Fuel Pump Operation And Inspect For Fuel Leak (See FUEL SYSTEM (FA20) )
- Disconnect Cable From Negative Battery Terminal (See WORKING PRECAUTIONS AND NOTES )
- Remove Air Cleaner Cap With Air Cleaner Hose (See REMOVAL )
- Remove Throttle With Motor Body Assembly
- Remove the 4 bolts and the throttle with motor body assembly.
- Disconnect Fuel Hose No. 1 (See INSTALLATION )
- Disconnect Fuel Hose No. 2 (See INSTALLATION )
- DISCONNECT PURGE HOSE (See INSTALLATION )
- Remove Injector Driver (See INJECTOR DRIVER (FA20) )
- Remove Intake Manifold Protector (for Bank 2) (See INSTALLATION )
- Remove Intake Manifold Protector (for Bank 1) (See INSTALLATION )
- Disconnect Fuel Delivery Pipe Sub-Assembly
- Remove the bolt and disconnect the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly.
- Disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose and move the fuel delivery pipe toward the front of the vehicle.
- Remove No. 1 Engine Cover Sub-Assembly
- Disengage the 3 claws and remove the No. 1 engine cover subassembly.NOTE: Release the tabs from the front side of the vehicle.
- Disengage the 3 claws and remove the No. 1 engine cover subassembly.
- Disconnect No. 2 Vacuum Hose (for Manual Transmission) (See REMOVAL )
- Disconnect Ventilation Hose
- Disconnect the ventilation hose.
- Remove Intake Manifold
- Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.
- Disconnect the purge control solenoid valve connector.
- Disengage the 5 clamps and disconnect the battery cable.
- Disengage the clamp and disconnect the engine wire harness.
- Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the 4 connectors.
- Disconnect the fuel pump connector.
- Remove the 6 bolts, intake manifold and 2 gaskets.
