Unit Inspection

  1. Inspection of intake air flow meter sub-assembly
    1. Use a working lamp, visually check the platinum filament (heater) portion of the intake air flow meter sub-assembly for foreign matter.

      Criteria: No foreign matter

      NOTE: If there is a foreign matter on the platinum filament (heater), replace the intake air flow meter sub-assembly.
    2. Inspection of intake temperature sensor resistance
      1. Measure the resistance between the terminals.
      RESISTANCE

      Inspection terminals Inspection conditions Standard value
      1 - 2 -20°C {-4°F} 13.6 to 18.4 kΩ
      20°C {68°F} 2.21 to 2.69 kΩ
      60°C {140°F} 0.49 to 0.67 kΩ
