Section 14 (Engine Cooling System (H4DO)): Radiator: Removal

CAUTION:
The radiator is pressurized when the engine and radiator are hot. Wait until engine and radiator cool down before working on the radiator.
- Remove the V-belt covers.
- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Lift up the vehicle.
- Drain engine coolant. < Refer to DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT , REPLACEMENT, Engine Coolant. >
- Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from thermostat cover.
- Disconnect the ATF radiator hose from ATF pipe. (AT model)NOTE: Plug the ATF pipe to prevent ATF from leaking.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the air intake duct (rear). < Refer to REMOVAL , Air Intake Duct. >
- Remove the reservoir tank. < Refer to REMOVAL , Reservoir Tank. >
- Disconnect the connector (A) from the main fan motor assembly and the connector (B) from the sub fan motor assembly.
- Disconnect the radiator inlet hose from the water pipe assembly.
- Remove the radiator upper brackets.
- Lift the radiator up and away from vehicle.
