Check Shift Indicator: Wiring Diagram

Step Check Yes No
1 CHECK TCM 
Check the DTC relating the TCM using the Subaru Select Monitor.
Is only DTC P1725 displayed? Perform the self-diagnosis of combination meter. Go to step .
2 CHECK TCM. 
Check the DTC relating the TCM using the Subaru Select Monitor.
Are DTCs other than P1725 displayed? Perform the diagnosis according to DTC. Go to step .
3 CHECK COMBINATION METER. 
Check the DTC of combination meter.
Is DTC displayed? Perform the diagnosis according to DTC. Go to step .
4 CHECK TCM. 
  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then turn it ON again.
  2. Shift the select lever to manual mode.
  3. Read the "Shift step in Manu. mode" data using the Subaru Select Monitor.
Is "1" displayed? Go to step . Perform the diagnosis according to DTC P0951.
5 CHECK TCM. 
  1. Shift up the select lever.
  2. Read the "Shift step in Manu. mode" data using the Subaru Select Monitor.
Is "2" displayed? Currently, shift indicator is normal. Check the TCM.
