Throttle Body: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

  2. Lift up the vehicle.
  3. Remove the under cover. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Front Under Cover. >
  4. Drain approximately 3.0 3.2 US qt, 2.6 lmp qt) of coolant. < Ref. to DRAINING OF ENGINE COOLANT , REPLACEMENT, Engine Coolant. >
  5. Remove the air intake chamber. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Intake Chamber. >
  6. Disconnect the throttle position sensor connector (A) and manifold absolute pressure sensor connector (B).

  7. Disconnect the engine coolant hoses (A) from throttle body.
  8. Remove the bolts (B) which secure the throttle body to the intake manifold, and remove the throttle body.
