Fuel Pump: Inspection

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.

  2. Remove the fuel pump. Refer to REMOVAL , Fuel Pump.
  3. Connect terminal No. 5 to the battery positive terminal and the No. 6 terminal to the battery ground terminal, and inspect the fuel pump operation.
    WARNING:
    • Wipe off fuel completely.
    • Keep the battery as far apart from fuel pump as possible.
    • Do not run the fuel pump for a long time under non-load condition.
