Steering Wheel: Removal

  1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.
  2. Set the tire to the straight-ahead position.
  3. Remove the airbag module. <Ref. to REMOVAL , Driver's Airbag Module.>
    WARNING: Always refer to "Airbag System" before performing service on the airbag modules. <Ref. to CAUTION , General Description.>
  4. Place alignment marks on the steering wheel and steering shaft.

  5. Remove the steering wheel nut, and then draw out the steering wheel from shaft using steering puller.
